Commitment: Sceney Electrical Pty Ltd recognizes its moral and legal responsibility, in particular to the Work Health Act 1986, Dangerous goods Act 1998 and the Electrical Reform Act 2000, to provide a safe and healthy work environment for employees, contractors, customers and the general public. This commitment extends to ensuring the organizations operations do not place the local community at risk of injury or illness. Goals and objectives: Sceney Electrical Pty Ltd will: Provide safe plant and systems of work Provide written procedures and instructions to ensure safe systems of work Ensure compliance with the legislative requirements and current industry standards Provide information, training, instruction and supervision to employees, contractors and customers to ensure their safety and Provide support and assistance to employees and opportunities to be involved in the consultation on safety issues. Responsibilities: Sceney Electrical Pty Ltd recognizes that management has the overall responsibility to provide safe work place. Each management representative shall be held responsible for implementing this policy in his or hers responsibility. These responsibilities include but are not limited to: Providing and maintaining the work place in a safe condition Ensuring all O.H.S. polices and procedures are implemented Actively promoting and being involved in these polices and procedures Providing the resources to meet O.H.S. commitment Employees will ensure that they: Follow all O.H.S. polices and procedures Report all hazards to their supervisor Consultation: Sceney Electrical Pty Ltd has total commitment to encouraging consultation and cooperation between management and employees. It will formally involve elective employee health and safety representatives in any workplace change that will affect the health and safety in any workplace. This policy will be reviewed annually. |
